Jennifer L. Kmiec

Jennifer L. Kmiec is a Biotechnology industry professional with an MBA and more than 18 years broad-based management experience in Marketing, Operations and Administration in start-up company environment.  She has an undergraduate degree in life sciences and 7+ years experience in biomedical research.  Jennifer received her Master of Business Administration, Marketing and Science & Technology Management concentrations, Graduate School of Management, University of California at Davis 1989.  She has her BS Biology major, Chemistry minor from Southern Illinois University 1981. 

From 2006 through the present, Jennifer has been a Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for InB:Biotechnologies, Inc., in Newark, Delaware.  She is esponsible for business development and marketing of plant-made vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and therapeutic proteins.  Other duties include developing business plan, presentations and web site.  Jennifer is a meeting organizer for the annual scientific conference.   Prior to her current position, Jennifer was a Vice President of Marketing at Athena Biotechnologies, Inc., in Newark, Delaware.  She was responsible for marketing and sales of natural product libraries to pharmaceutical and agrochemical customers for start-up biotechnology company.  Jennifer also developed business plans, presentations, web site and investor newsletters.   From 2000 through 2005, Jennifer was the Director of Genomics Operations for Tapestry Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in Newark, Delaware (formerly NaPro BioTherapeutics).  She initiated and managed operations of Genomics division including facilities planning and maintenance, human resources, purchasing, budgeting and laboratory operations.  Jennifer played a key role in relocating operations to new facility in 2004.  Jennifer managed sales and marketing activities following acquisition of assets and service business of Pangene Corporation.  Her additional professional experience in the biotechnology industry is extensive.
